Sonakshi Sinha was born on 2 June 1987 in Patna, Bihar, India to the father, actor Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.  She has two twin brothers, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha. Sonakshi attended at Ary Vidya Mandir in Mumbai and completed her schooling here. Then she enrolled at Shreemati Nathibi Damodar Thackersey Women’s University Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and received graduation degree in Fashion Design.

Sonakshi Sinha started her career as a costume designer and ramp model. In 2010, she made her debut in the film industry with the blockbuster film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan which is the second highest grosser film of all time. She received Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut. Then she got a chance to work with most of the top actor in the Bollywood and she is being chased by Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Kaha, Akshay Kumar for their projects.
