Preity Zinta is a popular Indian film actress who predominately appears in the Bollywood film but has some role in the different language film like Telegu, Punjabi, and English. Preity Zinta was born on January 31, 1975, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India to Durganand Zinta and Nilprabha. Her father was an Indian Army officer who died in car accident, the mother also severely injured by the accident. When she was only 13 years old lost her father and had a significant impact on her life which forced her to mature quickly. She has two brothers Deepankar, an Indian Army commissioned officer and Manish lives in California.
She studied at boarding School in Shimla. Then she admitted into St. Bede’s College, Shimla and graduated in English Honors. Preity develops a love for literature, especially on Shakespeare. Later she earned post graduate degree in Criminal Psychology.

Preity Zinta kicked off the journey in the media industry with modeling and her first TVC was for Perk Chocolates. She made her debut in the Bollywood film industry with the movie ‘Dill Se..’ in 1998. In the movie, she showed terrific performance and earn the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Then she appeared in the movie Kya Kehna in 2000 for the role teenage single mother. Then the actress showed off magnificent performance in the movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke with Salman Khan. In 2003, Preity made her career breakthrough performance in the film ‘Kal HoNaa Ho’ and the movie conveys Best Actress Filmfare Award for the heroine.
In the same year, she starred in another blockbuster movie ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ with co-actor Hrithik Roshan.
